Poudre Valley Health System is offering a quick and convenient way for Loveland residents to get the new year off to a healthy start.
PVHS will host a mini health fair from 7 to 9 a.m. Jan. 12 at Loveland Family Practice, 3850 N. Grant Ave., which is northwest of 37th Street and U.S. 287 in north Loveland.
Fair participants will have the opportunity to get their blood pressure checked and recorded, body mass index calculated or get vaccinated for the flu.
The health fair also will offer the following blood tests at low-cost health fair rates:
Health fair blood panel - includes complete blood count, albumin, alk phos, SGOT, SGPT, total Bilirubin, direct bilirubin, total protein, calcium, CO2, chloride, creatinine, glucose, sodium, potassium, BUN, uric acid, globulin, phosphorous, LDH, IRON and lipid profile. (fasting required) ... $29.
Lipid profile - includes triglycerides, cholesterol, HDL, LDL and cardiac risk (fasting required) ... $22.
Prostate specific antigen ... $29.
Thyroid stimulating hormone ... $29.
Glucose (fasting required) ... $7.
Blood type ... $19.50.
A1c (blood sugar)... $20.
For tests that require fasting, participants should not eat food or drink beverages for 12 to 14 hours before the test.
