Local schools challenged to create videos to highlight wellness efforts, community asked to vote
Each February, University of Colorado Health's Healthy Kids Club holds the Schools on the Move Challenge where northern Colorado schools compete by keeping track of healthy habits and activity.
Prize money is awarded to the top schools, in different categories, to use toward physical education equipment or school wellness initiatives.
This year, Healthy Kids Club added an additional video challenge. Participating schools were asked to create a fun, informative video highlighting their wellness efforts.
Video challenge finalists include eight schools from Evans to Wellington. Healthy Kids Club is asking the community to help pick the winners.
Finalists include:
- Rice Elementary, Wellington.
- Centennial Elementary, Evans.
- Ponderosa Elementary, Loveland.
- McGraw Elementary, Fort Collins.
- Livermore Elementary, Livermore.
- Olander Elementary, Fort Collins.
- Irish Elementary, Fort Collins.
- Tavelli Elementary, Fort Collins.
Prize money will be awarded to the three videos with the most votes. Voting ends April 5.
