Poudre Valley Medical Group Primary Care will open its doors April 19 near the proposed Loveland site for NASA's Aerospace and Clean Energy (ACE) Manufacturing and Innovation Park.
The new primary care clinic at 1327 Eagle Drive will offer family and internal medicine with an emphasis on diabetes, hypertension, weight management, disease prevention, lifestyle wellness and general medicine.
Owned and operated by Poudre Valley Medical Group, part of Poudre Valley Health System, the clinic is almost adjacent to the proposed ACE site on the former grounds of Agilent Technologies at 14th Street SW and S. Taft Avenue.
The clinic's staff will include a family medicine physician, Dr. Peyton Taliaferro, and an internal medicine physician, Dr. Susan Agrama.
Dr. Taliaferro, a member of Loveland's medical community from 1998 to 2008, returns to Loveland after working in a Virginia medical clinic where he established the state's first Level III patient-centered medical home.
When he practiced in Loveland, Dr. Taliaferro was named Loveland Citizen of the Year by the City of Loveland Rotary, and was presented the Making a Difference award from the Loveland Reporter Herald and the Community Service Award from the Northern Colorado Business Report. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, and completed residency at Centura Health's St. Anthony Family Medicine Residency Program, Westminster, Colo.
"I am excited to be back in the Loveland community and can't wait to start serving patients of all ages again," said Dr. Taliaferro.
Dr. Susan Agrama joins Poudre Valley Medical Group Primary Care after working in a medical group in Longmont, Colo. She received her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed her residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.
