Two Poudre Valley Health System businesses designed to pamper, relax and rejuvenate customers will open June 6 in the Marina Health Campus in Windsor's Water Valley community.
Twenty Three Trees, a high-quality medical and wellness spa, and The Blend Coffee Shop, which will serve gourmet products, including a PVHS signature blend of coffee, will occupy 2,355 square feet near Poudre Valley Medical Fitness, a state-of-the-art medical fitness center that PVHS opened in November.
Marilyn Owen, PVHS director of retail strategy and services, said the combination of medical and wellness spa, coffee shop and medical fitness center will provide a location where people can escape the daily challenges of life and receive services that will refresh them.
"Everything is designed to help make it easier for people to feel and be healthier," she said.
Twenty Three Trees will offer medical massages and such aesthetic services as facials, microdermabrasion for skin rejuvenation, Latisse, Botox, Juvederm, cleansers, moisturizers, body lotions, soaps, and other personal care items for women and men. The spa will have a calm, comfortable ambience, warm hues and elegant colors.
A retail area at the spa will feature items that support healthy lifestyles: athletic wear, yoga equipment, swim wear, protein supplements, heart rate monitors, pedometers, GPS training systems, and more. Among the apparel will be sportswear and outdoor clothing for men and women made by Alo, a high-caliber Los Angeles manufacturer that designs clothing with the mechanics of fitness in mind.
Twenty Three Trees is modeled after a medical and wellness spa of the same name located on the Poudre Valley Hospital campus in Fort Collins.
The Blend, which will serve healthy smoothies, tea, bakery items, salads, sandwiches, and gourmet coffee, will be easily accessible and make for an enjoyable neighborhood gathering place for Windsor residents. The Blend will be open 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
"The Blend will be a good place to meet friends and enjoy a cup of excellent coffee," said Robyn Brown Smith, a PVHS director of hospitality services who was involved in developing the coffee shop.
The health system operates The Blend Coffee Shops at four other locations: two on the PVH campus, one at the Harmony Campus and one in Medical Center of the Rockies.
The PVHS signature blend contains Arabica coffee beans, which are lively and flavorful, and is slow-roasted by Jackie's Java, a Fort Collins roaster that supplies gourmet and specialty coffee beans to northern Colorado customers.
