Fall event features the latest information about diabetes

At the Fall Diabetes Community Update, you can get updated information and tips that will help you manage diabetes.

The 2012 event, which is sponsored by the University of Colorado Health's Center for Diabetes, will be held from 8 a.m.-noon Nov. 10 at the Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive, Fort Collins. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m.

The following presentations have been planned for this year's event:

• Dealing with Diabetes by Dr. Daniel Bessessen.
• From Couch Potato to Fit and Feeling Great by Meghan Willis.
• An expert panel will feature Dr. Nathan Hunt, a podiatrist; Dr. David Schmidt, a physician from Associates in Family Medicine; and Dr. Kent Crews, an ophthalmologist.

The cost is $15 and includes the admission of a support person. Registration is required and begins Oct. 10. To register, call 970.495.8440.
