George E. Hayes
President and chief executive officer of Medical Center of the Rockies
George E. Hayes is the president and chief executive officer of Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo.
Prior to joining Poudre Valley Health System's MCR in August 2004, Mr. Hayes served as chief operating officer and senior vice president of 580-bed Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, the tertiary, teaching hospital of 10-hospital Saint Luke's Health System. Mr. Hayes completed his administrative residency at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City and held a variety of administrative positions during his 23-year tenure.
Mr. Hayes received his undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in 1979 and was awarded a master's degree in health care administration from the University of Minnesota in 1984.
Mr. Hayes is a member of the Alumni Association, Program in Hospital and Health Care Administration at the University of Minnesota. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Hayes serves on several boards of directors, including the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation; Colorado Hospital Association Board of Trustees; Heart Center of the Rockies, LLC; Medical Center of the Rockies Ambulatory Surgery Center; and the Boy Scouts of America Long's Peak Council board of trustees. He is also a member of the Loveland Rotary Club.
Mr. Hayes is married to Kimberly W. Hayes, M.D., and they have three sons.
