Air Link at Medical Center of the Rockies serves the three-state region of Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska, providing medical air transport to residents within a 200-mile radius from Loveland, Colo., the program's home base.
When can Air Link fly?
When a flight request is received, Air Link pilots conduct a weather check. The daylight ceiling must be 1,000 feet with three miles visibility. At night, the ceiling should be 1,000 feet and five miles visibility. Weather can vary greatly by geographic region. We encourage requesting agencies to call anytime air transport is needed, regardless of weather in the region. The situation will be carefully evaluated. If we are unable to accept the mission, we will assist the requesting agency with making arrangements for another mode of transport.
