"The next thing I knew, I was hooked up to a crash cart in the Medical Center of the Rockies emergency department. I was so scared because I thought I was going to die. Linda's advice to others
- Be your own patient advocate. If something doesn't feel right, get to the bottom of it. Don't ignore it.
- Get screened for heart disease.
More about Linda
An avid runner and working mother, Linda began having heart problems at age 32. The problems were tested and monitored for several years. She was opening a door one day when she felt a shock run through her body that stopped her in her tracks. The sensation jolted through her as if something was hitting her in the chest.
Over the next few weeks, the shocks led to black-outs and she ended up in the Medical Center of the Rockies emergency department.
