Having a baby is such a special time in your life. We are honored to care for you during your labor and delivery and for you and your baby after your baby's birth.
We know babies. We deliver almost 3,000 babies a year in northern Colorado at Poudre Valley Hospital and Medical Center of the Rockies. Our expert team of healthcare providers delivers respectful, compassionate care, making sure to follow your labor, delivery and recovery wishes whenever possible.
Our nurses are passionate about caring for moms and their new babies. They are specially trained in caring for both of you and can offer lots of help with breastfeeding and newborn care. PVH and MCR are Baby-Friendly Hospitals. We follow the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and have many resources to help you breast-feed your baby. We encourage skin-to-skin care and rooming-in for all moms and babies whenever medically possible.
If your baby needs extra help, our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at PVH or our Special Care Nursery at MCR are staffed with neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners from Children's Hospital Colorado and an expert nursing team.
Loving Arms is the adoption and surrogacy support program at Poudre Valley Hospital and Medical Center of the Rockies, was developed with you and your family in mind. If you're involved with adoption or surrogacy, be sure to read more about this program.
