Wound Healing Medical Research Studies at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado

Patients meeting the necessary criteria may be eligible to participate in national research studies dealing with new treatment approaches in wound care. The clinic physicians determine the eligibility of patients for particular studies. If they meet the criteria and have an interest, patients would be advised of the benefits and risks of participation.

The Wound Healing Clinic is currently involved in a study sponsored by Kinetic Concepts, Inc. The name of the study is "A Randomized, Controlled Multicenter Trial of Vacuum Assisted Closure Therapy in the Treatment and Blinded Evaluation of Pressure Ulcers."
