Awards and designations are the external affirmation that Poudre Valley Health System exceeds national standards and rankings by achieving its vision: providing world-class healthcare.
Poudre Valley Hospital received the 2009 Magnet Prize for its Community Case Management program, which helps patients, families and providers work together to manage chronic disease. In 2008, Poudre Valley Hospital was named the nation's first recipient of the Outstanding Nursing Quality Award, the American Nurses Association's highest award, given for sustained nursing excellence.
Top 100 Hospital Award for Poudre Valley Hospital from Thomson Reuters, a national consulting firm, for five years in a row (2003-2007).
Poudre Valley Health System is a 2008 recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation's top quality award and the highest presidential honor given to United States businesses that demonstrate performance excellence. PVHS was the only healthcare organization to receive the 2008 Baldrige award.
Poudre Valley Health System has twice been named one of Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work in Healthcare. We are the only healthcare provider in Colorado or the region to make the list.
Medical Center of the Rockies was named by Avatar International as the Exemplary Service Overall Best Performer in 2007 and again in 2008, and as one of the nation's 12 overall best performing hospitals in consistently meeting high standards of patient care across multiple service lines. Avatar International is the nation's leading independent company that tracks the quality of hospitals by surveying their patients to determine customer satisfaction. MCR also received three Innovation Awards.
Poudre Valley Hospital received a Five Star Inpatient Care Award from Avatar International, Inc., which reflects the highest score for inpatient satisfaction survey results in Avatar's national data base. PVH also received an Innovation Award.
For the second time since 2004, Poudre Valley Health System is the recipient of the Peak Performance Award, Colorado's highest award for performance excellence, from the Colorado Performance Excellence Program (CPEx).
Medical Center of the Rockies is a three-time recipient of the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. The awards recognized MCR's cardiac intensive care unit and surgical intensive care unit for critical-care excellence. The Beacon Award honors ICUs in the U.S. that achieve the highest patient care outcomes.
