Sharing the Cancer Journey

Education and support for cancer patients

Cancer is a life-changing experience. Sharing the Cancer Journey, an education and support group, sponsored by the Poudre Valley Cancer Network, focuses on strategies for caring for body, mind and soul during diagnosis, treatment and the entire journey.

Sharing the Cancer Journey welcomes survivors, family and friends to explore, share and learn about the cancer experience in a casual, caring setting. Presentations by medical experts complement supportive strategies and story sharing by peers affected by cancer. Classes explore medical, emotional, physical and social issues that can accompany cancer.

What will you learn?

  • Cancer 101: basic, helpful information
  • Diagnosis and treatment
  • Side effects
  • Emotions and self-esteem
  • Nutrition
  • Exercise
