Healthy sack lunch: Turkey and cheese pocket with carrots and milk
- 1 turkey and cheese pocket (see recipe below)
- Baby carrots and light ranch dressing
- 1 cup skim or 1% milk
Turkey and cheese pocket
- 1/2 whole wheat pita pocket
- 1 tb. mayonaise
- 2-3 ounces thinly sliced turkey
- 2 large romaine lettuce leaves
- 1 slice provolone cheese
- 3 thin apple slices (dip in lemon juice to avoid turning brown)
Spread mayonaise on inside of pita pocket and stuff with turkey, cheese, lettuce, and apple slices.
