Poudre Valley Health System is an award-winning regional health care system in northern Colorado consisting of two hospitals, Poudre Valley Hospital (PVH) and Medical Center of the Rockies (MCR), and a large network of clinics and outpatient facilities, including a 50-bed behavioral health center.
PVHS serves northern Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. Fort Collins and Loveland are its largest communities, followed by Windsor and Longmont, Colorado.
PVHS is a 2008 recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation's top honor for quality and innovation. PVHS was the lone healthcare recipient of the award in 2008.
Poudre Valley Health System has been named to Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work in Healthcare each of the three years since the publication created the list. PVH was named a Top 100 Hospital from 2003 through 2009. PVH has been a designated Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence since 2000; MCR earned the Magnet designation in 2010.
PVH was the inagural recipient of the ANA nursing quality award in 2007 and has received the honor in the two years since. PVH was also the 2009 recipient of the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet Prize.
MCR has received Avatar International's Overall Best Performer award for patient satisfaction three years in a row. MCR is also a multi-year recipient of the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence.
